Management and Values

Foot Anstey has a streamlined cross office, corporate management structure. An elected Management Board, chaired by Simon Gregory, oversees the strategic direction of the firm and includes senior partner Jane Lister and managing partner John Westwell. John is responsible for the day to day management of the firm and for the implementation of the firm’s business plan.

As managing partner, John is is supported by eight legal team leaders who manage on a day to day basis the firm’s main cross office practice areas – company/commercial, employment, dispute litigation, real estate, advocacy, clinical negligence, family & childcare and private client. He is also supported by professional directors and managers who are responsible for the overall operation of the support departments (Business Excellence, Business Development, Facilities, Finance & IT, People, Learning & Development) and for ensuring that Foot Anstey lawyers have the back up they require to meet the needs of their clients.

Within our legal teams, lawyers and support staff are managed by a partner or an associate in small units according to legal discipline and within the office in which they are based.

Robust supervision systems are in place, backed up by IT, to ensure deadlines are met and the highest standards achieved. Substantial investment is being made in recruitment, training and development so as to ensure that Foot Anstey has the highest calibre of staff to support our clients
