Truro - Free Wills
During the past year, Hancock Caffin which merged with Foot Anstey on 1 December, has been providing FREE Wills to clients if the client left a legacy in favour of Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF).
To date, legacies totalling £290,000 have been pledged to CCF, on top of the £230,000 made last year. "I’m astonished by the generosity of the Cornish people, of whom I’m proud to be one, in supporting such a worthwhile organisation. My thanks goes out to all the clients who have been superb with their support" commented Private Client Department head Phil Nichols. "I would also like to thank CCF for their assistance with this and also the staff in my team as they’ve really gone out of their way to look after the clients" he added.
Partner Mark Chanter endorsed Phil’s views adding: "To have managed to raise in excess of £500,000 through the generosity of our clients is fantastic. I’m sure CCF will put the funds to good use in their numerous projects assisting worthy causes and individuals in the county. I’m pleased our staff, through their efforts and with the aid of our clients and colleagues, have also raised circa £7,500 in addition. I think it’s something we can all be proud of".
