More and more people are finding that they are not entitled to legal aid funding and are worried that if they commence legal action, they may risk running up bills they cannot afford.
In advising on the range of legal problems that can arise from family or relationship breakdowns, Foot Anstey’s team is sensitive to these concerns and tries to help clients by providing maximum certainty as to the cost of any legal action.
Given the firm handles publicly funded (legal aid) cases our lawyers understand the importance of keeping fees under control and delivering real value for money.
That’s why Foot Anstey has come up with fixed fee packages for handling a range of straightforward family law matters, excluding any contested hearings.
It’s a simple two step process:
Step one. If you need advice, book an appointment to see one of our family law specialists. He or she will advise how best to resolve the problem you face and will tell you if it can be dealt with by one of our fixed fee packages. For this we will charge you a fee of £150 + VAT (£176.25)
Inevitably some cases will be complex and unpredictable and so will fall outside our fixed fee package but in those instances we will give you an estimate of what the likely costs will be.
Step two. Having been advised how to deal with the issue, you can decide whether to instruct Foot Anstey or not. If you do, the £150 + VAT fee referred to in step one will be deducted from our fixed fee package which means that our initial advice will not have cost you anything.
