What’s covered?
Maximising performance at all levels is crucial to any business, yet managing poor performance is often difficult for managers to tackle with confidence. Attending this course will enable managers and HR professionals to identify and deal with performance issues from the outset. It also covers how to deal with an accelerated exit if the improvement process breaks down or when, for commercial reasons, an improvement process is not the right option. This course covers:
- the difference between conduct and performance
- the performance improvement procedure
- setting realistic targets and monitoring progress
- the benefit a well conducted procedure can bring
- assessing the risks in not conducting a procedure
- dismissal and other options
What will delegates achieve?
By the end of the workshop session delegates will:
- understand the legal definitions of performance and conduct
- be familiar with the content of the relevant law
- recognise potential problem areas
- be able to manage staff to minimise the risk of tribunal claims
- be able to conduct performance dismissals confidently
- pass on sensible and practical guidance to their teams
How long is it and how much?
This workshop runs for 1.5 hours costs only £40 + VAT per delegate.
The workshop is subject to a minimum of 8 delegates per session and a maximum of 15.
