We take you through how to handle the process from start to finish, equipping you with the knowledge and confidence to deal with real life issues that can put even the most experienced manager off their script. This course covers:

- preparing for a hearing
- conducting a hearing
- how far can you probe?
- dealing with difficult situations that arise during the hearing
- stress and the disciplinary process
- the impact of the statutory procedures on dismissals
- without prejudice discussions
We use case studies and practical examples to ensure that all delegates come away with a working knowledge of how to conduct a disciplinary procedure.

By the end of the workshop session your delegates will:
- know the legal requirements in conducting a disciplinary hearing
- recognise the importance of the statutory procedures
- understand the principles of fairness and tribunal expectations
- be confident in dealing with the practicalities of conducting a process from investigation to appeal
- know how to manage disciplinary situations to minimise the risk of tribunal claims
- understand the cost of getting it wrong
We also provide a specimen letter inviting an employee to a disciplinary hearing for delegates to take away with them and use in the future.
How long is it and how much?
This workshop session runs for 3 hours and costs only £75 + VAT per delegate.
The workshop is subject to a minimum of 8 delegates per session and a maximum of 15.
