Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word: Do’s And Don’ts Of Grievances
Who should attend?
HR professionals at all levels and any manager responsible for dealing with grievance issues.
What’s covered?
The twin to our course on disciplinary procedures, this course looks at grievances. This is possibly one of the most hotly litigated areas following the introduction of the statutory procedures. The cost of getting it wrong can be significant so it is crucial that managers know what they should and shouldn’t be doing. This course covers:
- what is a grievance?
- the importance of the statutory grievance procedures
- investigating a grievance
- the purpose of a grievance hearing
- step by step guide to conducting a grievance hearing
- the cost of getting it wrong
We use case studies to ensure that all delegates have a working knowledge of how to recognise a grievance and manage a grievance procedure
What will delegates achieve?
By the end of the workshop session your delegates will:
- be able to identify what is and isn’t a grievance
- understand the grievance process from start to finish
- minimise the risk of getting it wrong
We also provide a specimen letter inviting an employee to a grievance hearing for delegates to take away with them and use in the future.
How long is it and how much?
This workshop session runs for 3 hours and costs only £75 + VAT per delegate.
The workshop is subject to a minimum of 8 delegates per session and a maximum of 15.
