Honey I Shrank The Workforce: Managing A Redundancy Process
Who should attend?
HR professionals at all levels and any manager or senior employees involved in the conduct of a redundancy process.
What’s covered?
What constitutes a redundancy in legal terms is often different from the layman’s understanding. The devil is in the detail when it comes to managing a redundancy process but it need not be complicated if you know what you’re doing. This course covers:
- what is a genuine redundancy?
- who should you include in the selection pool?
- how to draft and score selection criteria
- the role of consultation – collective and individual
- the search for alternative employment – how far should you go?
- the impact of the statutory procedures on redundancy
- redundancy payments
We use case studies to ensure that all delegates have a working knowledge of how to manage a redundancy process.
What will delegates achieve?
By the end of the workshop session your delegates will:
- know how to conduct a redundancy process from start to finish
- be able to identify when consultation obligations arise
- recognise what consultation does and does not mean
- know how to minimise the risk of tribunal claims
How long is it and how much?
This workshop session runs for 3 hours and costs only of £75 + VAT per delegate.
The workshop is subject to a minimum of 8 delegates per session and a maximum of 15.
