Nigel read law at Cambridge University 1986-89, and qualified as a solicitor in 1993 after training in London.
He began his legal career as a criminal lawyer, and later trained and worked as a journalist before returning to the law to specialise in media law.
Nigel joined Foot Anstey in 2004, and advises on all aspects of media law, including defamation, contempt, reporting restrictions, freedom of information, data protection, privacy, confidence, intellectual property, and commercial litigation.
He also writes articles on developments in this field, which are regularly published in the national and regional press, and in specialist journals.
