Specialist areas of work include representation of suspects at the police station, Defendants at the Magistrates Court and Crown Court on own client and Duty solicitor basis. Vast experience in all aspects of the afore mentioned on a daily basis. Cases ranging from minor road traffic offences through to murder.
Experience of coroners inquests, applications for ASBO’s and Closure Orders civil and criminal applications. Experience in applications under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Worked previously for Legal and General and City Corp in unit trusts and was LAUTRO (life assurance and unit trust regulatory organisation) registered to deal with customer complaints under the Financial Services Act.
First class honours in biological science from Plymouth University and studied CPE and LPC at Nottingham Law School whilst working full time as accredited legal representative and trainee solicitor at a leading Criminal Specialist firm in Nottingham city centre. Qualified in 1999 and relocated back to Plymouth same year. Joined Foot Anstey in 2003.
Currently running varied case load including Proceeds of Crime Act application for seizure of assets following conviction prosecuted by the Serious Organised Crime Division of the Crown Prosecution Service, Coroners Inquest where overdose of drugs given resulted in death of patient, Environmental Protection Act investigation where actions of company lead to disturbance of silt contaminated with heavy metals together with daily case load in the Magistrates Court.
