Neil qualified as a Solicitor in 1987. Born in Barnstaple he was educated at Pilton, and North Devon Colleges and Leicester University.
Neil specialises in criminal defence work and has extensive experience of dealing with serious crime including homicide, serious sexual offences, fraud and drug trafficking including money laundering and confiscation proceedings. He also deals with investigations and prosecutions by the Revenue, Customs, Local Authorities and pollution cases.
He also has expertise in the new licensing laws and is a member of the firm’s Hotels and Leisure group.
Neil has been a member of the Law Society Training Committee, The Young Solicitors Group National Committee. He has been a member of the Taunton Deane and the Sedgemoor Duty Solicitor Schemes since 1989.
Neil was Managing Partner of Alms & Young prior to the merger with Foot Anstey and is now a Consultant and member of the Foot Anstey Management Board.
