James CollingsJames is an associate specalising in employment law. He provides practical straightforward advice to a wide range of national and local clients including those in such areas as newspaper publication, media, education, and manufacturing on all contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law.

James has a wide range of experience in dealing with issues such as drafting and negotiating Contracts of Employment, advising on all forms of discrimination complaints, advising on compliance with the Statutory Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures, advising on issues in connection with claims for Wrongful Dismissal and Unfair Dismissal, and drafting and advising on Compromise Agreements.

James also has practical advocacy experience in representing his clients in the Employment Tribunals in relation to claims for such things as Unfair Dismissal, Unlawful Deductions from Wages, Religion and Belief Discrimination, and Race Discrimination.

James is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and regularly delivers seminars and training to organisations on all aspects of Employment Law.

James joined Foot Anstey as a trainee in 2003 and stayed with the firm upon qualifying as a solicitor in Foot Anstey’s Employment Team in 2005. James was promoted to associate in 2008.
