Tony Jaffa Joins 100 Most Powerful List
The only lawyer to be listed in the 100 Most Powerful in Regional Newspaper Journalism is Tony Jaffa, Partner and Head of the Media team at South West legal firm Foot Anstey.
According to the survey ‘One of the regional press’s best known legal faces, Jaffa continues to keep many an editor out of trouble and abreast of current legislation.’
The survey published by the Press Gazette is the leading magazine for journalists. Jaffa is just one of three in the top 100 who are not editors or publishers.
The judges survey asked ‘who wields the power in regional newspaper journalism?’ and not surprisingly, 97 out of the 100 were either editors or publishers. They acknowledged that ‘there are those whose influence is more tangential, but nonetheless important: such as lawyers and lobbyists’.
