McCartney Divorce Judge visits Exeter

High Court Judge Mr Justice Coleridge will chair a panel discussion on the distribution of money and assets in divorces on 6th December at Foot Anstey’s offices in Exeter.

The audience of accountants, lawyers, independent financial advisors and barristers will look at case studies of couples with substantial and complex assets .   The panel will then look at how courts divide the assets in a fair way.

Mr Justice Coleridge who sits in the Family Division of the High Court recently sat on Paul and Heather McCartney’s eight hour financial dispute resolution. He was also the judge who  awarded the largest divorce settlement in history to Mrs Charman £48m when her 28 year old marriage broke down.

Yvette Rooke partner at Foot Anstey said “All our panellists are experienced in this field but the input from  Mr Justice Coleridge will be invaluable. It will certainly give practitioners a lot of food for thought”.

The panellists are District Judge Stephen Arnold, Roger Isaacs from accountants Milstead Langdon and Susan Jacklin QC of St Johns Chambers, Bristol
