Foot Anstey acts for Sutton Harbour Group £30m development
South West law firm Foot Anstey acted for the Sutton Harbour Group in their property deal with the South West of England Regional Development Agency (RDA) to transform part of Osprey Quay at Portland into an exciting £30 million year-round tourism and leisure destination.
The deal makes award-winning regeneration company the Sutton Harbour Group the RDA’s development partner for an eight-acre site to be known as Castle Court.
The scheme will transform Portland into a year round attraction by offering high class facilities that could include a hotel, restaurant, shops, apartments, self catering units, employment space and landscaped public areas and create 300 jobs.
David Ellis associate at Foot Anstey said “The deal is just the first stage in our continuing relationship with the Sutton Harbour Group and Castle Court which we are confident will bring greater prosperity to Portland.”
The scheme is expected to include a permanent base for the RYA’s British senior, youth, junior and Paralympic national sailing squads, playing a major role supporting the sailing events for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
