Foot Anstey Shortlisted For National Award

South west law firm, Foot Anstey, is on the shortlist for the national Training and Recruitment Awards, one of the most prestigious prizes in the profession, run by LawCareers.Net.

Louise Widley, Head of Training and Partner, and Kelly Cooke of the People Learning and Development Team at Foot Anstey will attend the awards in London in June.

Now in their sixth year the Training and Recruitment Awards recognise and reward firms offering lawyers the very best start in the profession.

The awards are judged by looking at 3000 on line questionnaires. They ask first and second year trainees and newly qualified solicitors to give their experience of their recruitment and training in an online survey.

Louise Widley of Foot Anstey said “Our shortlisting is a reflection of our commitment to invest in trainees and newly qualified solicitors. They represent the future for Foot Anstey and the legal profession as a whole.

“We are constantly looking at ways of attracting trainee solicitors who are of a high calibre. In the next few weeks we shall offer an interactive online application procedure so that recruits can apply for training contracts and work placements at the same time. Applicants will have the ability to update their application throughout the course of their studies by accessing their own web space through our firm’s website.

Foot Anstey currently has 18 trainee solicitors and is to be joined by a further 10 recruits in September. Foot Anstey are offering 15 training contracts for each of 2009 and 2010. The closing date for applications is 31 July 2008.
