New Service for HR Professionals in Plymouth

The HR Breakfast Club is now a regular event for HR professionals in Plymouth following the first successful meeting to learn about and discuss the latest developments in HR practice and employment law.

Edge Recruits and Plymouth law firm Foot Anstey have created the HR Breakfast Club in response to the industry’s demand for up to date interactive information.

Chris Leonard, CEO of Edge Recruits said “Through our conversations with employment professionals looking to fill vacancies in the Plymouth area we understand that they value talking to experts and fellow practitioners about the ever changing issues in employment.

“The HR Breakfast Club will be a regular event open to all HR professionals that gives them the opportunity to ask the experts and talk to each other about the challenges we all face.

“So for us, as an innovative employment agency using the latest technology to help identify the right staff for our clients, it’s an opportunity to share our methods of working.”

Patrick Howarth, Head of Employment at Foot Anstey explained “HR professionals face the constant need to keep up to date with the latest Government initiatives and consultation.

"We want to make every breakfast event topical, so at this next one top of our agenda is the three main employment issues announced by the Government recently.

“The first two are ACAS replacing its code for statutory dispute procedures and the extended rights for working parents to request flexible working.

“The third, extending agency workers’ rights, is of particular interest to anyone placing agency staff.

“We hope the HR Breakfast Club will become a fixture in all HR professional’s diaries.”
