City Of London Lawyer Moves To Foot Anstey
Peter Singfield is the new Head of the fast expanding Financial and Commercial Disputes Team at South West law firm Foot Anstey.
Previously he was with City of London law firm Lovells in their International Arbitration, Professional Indemnity and Commercial and Consumer Banking Litigation department. He acted for banks in financial crime-related litigation and large regulatory investigations, both domestic and international. He was also seconded to Citi’s litigation team which oversaw the bank’s markets and corporate investment banking operations.
He is experienced in all major dispute resolution processes, including arbitration, mediation, proceedings before the Financial Ombudsman, investigations by the Financial Services Authority, the Serious Fraud Office and other European and American financial regulators, as well as High Court litigation.
Peter Singfield says “In the current economic condition, which is predicting gloomy times, businesses are increasingly examining their contractual arrangements with a view to saving costs and extricating themselves from potentially unprofitable arrangements. So my team, at Foot Anstey, are seeing a rise in commercial disputes.
“Taking pragmatic, commercial legal advice early on in this process is proving invaluable in avoiding disputes and associated legal fees for our clients."
