Foot Anstey Move Into Salt Quay House In Plymouth City Centre

South west law firm Foot Anstey moved into their new landmark building, Salt Quay House on Sutton Harbour, Plymouth, on 16th March as part of their commitment to offering high quality legal advice to businesses, individuals and organisations in the city centre and the south west.

Foot Anstey, as an intrinsic part of their “buy local” policy, worked in partnership with local businesses, suppliers and contractors to design, build and fit out this spectacularly situated modern office.

John Westwell Managing Partner of Foot Anstey said “There has never been a more important time for us to support Foot Anstey’s clients and the local community. Salt Quay House delivers that support in three ways.

“Firstly, the location and design of the building enables the firm to continue to attract and retain the very best lawyers – Foot Anstey’s clients will settle for nothing less.

“Secondly, state of the art facilities are provided for our clients.

“Thirdly, we have used the services of local businesses for the design and fitting out of Salt Quay House – at a time when they need our support. The quality of their work really reflects the great strengths of those businesses.

“This move is part of our long term commitment to the south west peninsula. Foot Anstey has been in Plymouth for over 100 years and we want to be part of its future offering the best advice to businesses, organisations and individuals.

“Our new office reflects the progressive nature of the firm offering both our clients and staff both in Plymouth and from our other three offices in Exeter, Taunton and Truro, the latest technology and a high quality working environment with all the city amenities on our doorstep.”

“Recently we have recruited excellent senior lawyers locally as well as from London. I am sure they will enjoy the working environment of Salt Quay House which is in one of the most beautiful locations in the West Country.”

In 2006 Foot Anstey reached capacity in its existing office in Derry’s Cross and agreed to dispose of the site to developer, Devington Homes, once a suitable new location for the firm was identified. Redevelopment of the Derry’s Cross site is expected to commence later this year.

Visitors are greeted in the light and airy reception area at Salt Quay House by the metal artwork created by local artist Katie Lake and three Plymouth schools, who used the marine location of Salt Quay as their inspiration.

Sixth floor client meeting rooms, with their spectacular view of Sutton Harbour, have state of the art technology providing communications and presentation capability for use by businesses and individuals.

The Exchange, a special break out space overlooking the harbour, is for staff to use for informal meetings with colleagues or just a coffee.
