Lawyers Hold Conferences Examining Developments And Emerging Issues In Charity Work
South West law firm Foot Anstey will be holding free-of-charge conferences in four regional centres this May. The firm’s charities and social enterprise team have drawn on expertise across the firm to offer a seminar which will update charity trustees, senior staff and sector professionals on developments in some key areas.
Specialist lawyers are inviting people to attend the conferences, being held between the 13 and 25 May, whether involved with large or small charitable organisations or social enterprises. The objectives of the conferences are to provide up-to-date legal knowledge, discuss new opportunities which have arisen, identify potential pitfalls and to plan for the future with confidence.
James Evans, Partner at Foot Anstey said; “We hold these events so that we can keep people working in the sector as informed as we can on new developments. We’ll be covering diverse topics such as the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of mergers and joint working, the use of social media and the latest employment law issues. There will also be a charity law update including the latest on the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), the new public benefit requirements and the implications of the recent RSPCA legacy case. By holding a seminar in each one of our regional centres we provide the opportunity to keep the event local and the conversations relevant.”
The seminars will be hosted at each of Foot Anstey’s regional office locations on four different dates so that those interested in coming along can choose the most convenient to them.
Attendance is free but places are limited. To reserve your place at the conferences in Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton or Truro, please apply online. Alternatively, contact Sarah Cowl on 01752 675023 or email sarah.cowl@footanstey.com
