These Boots Are Made For Walking…

Wednesday 1 August saw 23 Foot Anstey staff take to the South Devon Coast Path in aid of the Western Morning News’ Great South West Walk.

Foot Anstey were proud first day sponsors of this high profile event, which was attended by Simon Weston, Plymouth Argyle’s Lilian Nalis, David Fitzgerald and South West MP, Gary Streeter.

Managing Partner, Jane Lister was on hand at the start to wish the team well and said “We are delighted to be one of the event sponsors and extending our support through participation of staff has been very popular. It has enabled us to raise extra money for charity and has given our staff the opportunity of being involved at a very personal level”.

Foot Anstey had two teams for the day, ten volunteers from the firm set off on the first leg from Plymouth to Wembury, and thirteen volunteered for the second more strenuous leg from Noss Mayo to Bigbury-on-Sea. To date, including our initial sponsorship money, the firm has raised in excess of £3,200 with further monies still coming in.

Our thanks to Graddon Vending, who generously gave much needed bottled water and chocolates for the day, and to Oyez Stracker who donated the first aid kits - which were fortunately not required!

Good luck to the Western Morning News and their team and all other event sponsors, we wish you well and hope you enjoy the event.
