New Legal Package For Microsoft Dealers
South West law firm Foot Anstey were asked by Microsoft to offer their UK dealers a Microsoft Small Business Pack and a special on going legal advice service .
The pack, launched through a webcast, costing £495, immediately attracted buyers wanting standard contracts to supply hardware and software, installation and system maintenance to their customers.
Edmund Probert, Partner at Foot Anstey and Chairman of Wired West, the South West’s IT Sector Forum, said
“Microsoft gave us the opportunity to help dealers throughout the country and the response has been phenomenal. Dealers appreciate the need to be aware of the increasing rights buyers have under law but they also know the law is there to protect them.
“Providing standard contracts is only part of the story. We don’t just sell a package and walk away from any problems. For a small annual fee dealers can have a personal service that meets their onging needs and problems.”
Dealers buying the Microsoft Small Business Support Pack subscribe to a service that tailors the contracts for their particular product range and amends the terms and conditions to meet their special needs, provides draft Service Level Standards, gives some free advice on contractual problems and provides discounted legal advice on disputes or more complex issues.
