Serpell Eaton Merger With Foot Anstey Completes
South west solicitors Foot Anstey has completed today the latest stage of its expansion by merging with the respected Plymouth firm of Serpell Eaton.
Although the merger was announced just six weeks ago, clients of Serpell Eaton have been advised and all arrangements made for the merged firm to operate from today from Foot Anstey’s Derry’s Cross offices.
Managing Partner Jane Lister said: “I’m thrilled that we have been able to merge the firms in such a short space of time and without disrupting the service we provide to our clients. Over recent weeks there has been increasing interaction between staff at all levels throughout the two firms so that we can hit the ground running on merger. We look forward to welcoming Serpell Eaton clients and contacts to our offices.”
The merger follows a hectic summer of activity for Foot Anstey which has seen it launch in Plymouth its successful Move Forward conveyancing service, announce its agreement to move to purpose built offices in Sutton Harbour and announce its intention to merge in December with the Cornish firm of Hancock Caffin.
Today’s merger with Serpell Eaton strengthens the local service the firm offers to individuals and businesses in Plymouth and sees Caroline Mitchell and Nigel Coveney, who specialise respectively in employment and property join the Foot Anstey partnership.
Along with some twenty other staff, Greg Serpell and Greg Yates join Foot Anstey as working consultants.
Jane Lister added: “We are determined to offer individuals and businesses in the south west a strong, local service which covers their needs and gives them outstanding value for money. This merger is another step in strengthening our offering in Plymouth and at a time when other firms are expanding outside the region, this reinforces our commitment to growing within the city.”
