Major Expansion For Foot Anstey Comes To Fruition

Fast expanding South West lawyers Foot Anstey completes its merger with the respected Plymouth firm of Serpell Eaton on October 1st.

Since the merger was announced just six weeks ago, the two firms have worked together to ensure the smooth move of the staff from Serpell Eaton into the Foot Anstey building at Derry’s Cross.

Managing Partner Jane Lister said “To bring together the firms in such a short space of time and without disrupting the service we provide our clients is a real achievement. The past few weeks have seen increasing interaction between staff at all levels throughout the two firms so that we can hit the ground running on merger. We look forward to welcoming Serpell Eaton clients and contacts to our offices.”

Caroline Mitchell and Nigel Coveney, who specialise respectively in employment and property, join the Foot Anstey partnership. Greg Serpell and Greg Yates join as working consultants along with twenty other staff.

Jane Lister added “We are determined to offer individuals and businesses in the South West a strong, local service which covers their needs and gives them outstanding value for money. This merger is another step in strengthening Foot Anstey’s offering in Plymouth. It reinforces our commitment to growing within the city at a time when other firms are expanding outside the region.”

The merger is part of Foot Anstey’s ambitious expansion programme. During the past few months they launched their successful Move Forward conveyancing service in Plymouth, announced their move to purpose built offices in Sutton Harbour and a merger with the Cornish firm of Hancock Caffin in December.
