New Partner Joins South West Law Firm Foot Anstey

David Turner has joined south west law firm Foot Anstey as partner heading the Financial Services and Litigation team in Exeter, bringing the firm’s partner total to 31. David joins Foot Anstey from Bond Pearce where he had been a partner for 8 years.

David advises on all areas of dispute resolution and contentious financial services. Key clients include independent financial advisers and other financial institutions.

David’s arrival follows the recruitment of Financial Services specialist, Jonathan Kitchin, who joined Foot Anstey in September from Burges Salmon, and is part of Foot Anstey’s efforts to build a strong Financial Services team in the south west.

David joins Foot Anstey as the firm completes two mergers in two months in two counties, demonstrating the determination of Foot Anstey’s ambition to become the premier full service law firm in the South West.

And being short listed for the national “Law Society Lexcel Award for Excellence in Practice Standards” is a sign that quality is not being compromised by expansion.

This month’s strengthening of its Plymouth base through the merger with Serpell Eaton is followed in December by expansion into Cornwall through the merger with Truro based Hancock Caffin. This reflects Foot Anstey’s determination to improve both the expertise it can offer and geographical access to its services.

Welcoming David Turner to the firm, Managing Partner Jane Lister said “Attracting partners of the calibre of David is an indication of Foot Anstey’s development and I’m sure the Financial Services team will go from strength to strength under his leadership".
