Microsoft Use South West Advisers

The Exeter offices of South West law firm Foot Anstey will beam out across the UK with a webinar to Microsoft’s Small Businesses Specialists (SBS) on 29th October 2007.

This webinar, the second in a series of ‘Business Bites’ Live Meetings is arranged in partnership with Microsoft and another local advisor 2.0 Ltd.

Introduced by Bill Wells, Director of 2.0 Ltd, the webinar will help SBS minimise their contractual risks and liabilities when they supply hardware and software to users.

The format of the event uses Microsoft’s Live Meeting software so that attendees can see the presentation on the web, hear live audio and ask questions in real-time that will be answered at the end of the presentation.

Jonathan Cox of the Pavey Group will be talking about risk management and explaining how choosing the appropriate insurance can reduce the impact when contracts go wrong and Edmund Probert of Foot Anstey will explain how the right wording in a company’s terms and conditions can limit liability and risk.

Jennifer Brinton, Microsoft’s Channel Development Manager said "We have found Foot Anstey to be an excellent partner to work with on the Business Bites series of Live Meetings. They are a progressive, innovative firm"

The first webinar was hosted at Microsoft’s UK head office in Reading, when Edmund Probert explained how supply and support contracts can reduce liability and increase professionalism in a competitive market. The response from this event led to companies from all over the UK subscribing to the special terms and conditions package developed by Foot Anstey for the SBS community. This package includes terms and conditions of supply and support of hardware and software, tailored to their business.

The Microsoft Small Business Specialist’s main business is to provide the supply and support of hardware and software e.g. servers/operating systems and other software. http://www.microsoft.com/uk/smallbusiness/default.mspx.
