S.39 Adult Defendant

An order was made under which the reporting of the adult defendant’s name and address was prevented to protect a minor witness. In that case Judge Neligan asked to hear our representations on behalf of the Exeter Express & Echo on this wrongful use of such an order. He later accepted that he had no jurisdiction to make this order insofar as it applied to the adult defendant and the order was amended.
