Essential Criteria
1. Solicitor (fairly newly qualified) or Senior Conveyancer
2. Experience of domestic conveyancing essential
3. An individual who is client friendly, proactive, thorough and hard working
4. IT skills necessary
The successful applicant will join a unit that deals mainly with high net worth residential conveyancing and established client referrals. The work will involve a large degree of internal introductions but the successful applicant will also be expected to market his or her self in the Exeter region.
Therefore, whilst relationships with clients are paramount, relationships with the introducers is also very important.
There will also be an element of commercial property work with the approximate split being 75% residential and 25% commercial. The successful applicant will be required to provide commercial property assistance to, specifically, one of the partners in the Exeter team as well as other lawyers in office. The commercial work will involve some landlord and tenant matters as well as leasehold management documentation such as licences to assign, sublet, etc
The successful applicant will join the Business and Public Sector Group comprising 125 fee earners. Within that group there are units covering commercial and residential property transactions, commercial transactions, banking and debt collection, employment, financial and commercial disputes, insolvency, media and IT, insurance and PI, planning and land use and property litigation.
