Essential Criteria
1. Solicitor
2. Some experience in a London or regional law firm with a significant company commercial department or in-house preferable
3. Good academics
4. Client friendly and proactive
5. Good drafting skills
6. A good working knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements and experience in general corporate and commercial matters
Optional Criteria
Working knowledge and experience of:-
• MBO’s/MBI’s
• Raising finance for private companies
• Financial services regulation
The successful applicant will join the Business and Public Sector Group comprising 125 fee earners. Within that group there are units covering commercial and residential property transactions, commercial transactions, banking and debt collection, employment, financial and commercial disputes, insolvency, media and IT, insurance and PI, planning and land use and property litigation. The successful applicant will primarily work with partners and associates in the company commercial/e commerce unit and will be encouraged to develop his or her own specialist area within that unit.
