A NEW LAWYER REQUIRED IN OUR PRIVATE CLIENT UNIT (EXETER BASED)
GENERAL JOB SPECIFICATION
Essential Criteria
1. Solicitor
2. Experience in a law firm with a significant private client or general litigation team
3. A knowledge and understanding of the basics of private client law and civil procedure and a willingness to combine them both
4. An individual who is a team player, client friendly, proactive, hard working and computer literate.
5. Basic working knowledge of at least two of the following:-
• Civil procedure
• Will drafting and basic inheritance tax planning
• Estate administration
• trust law
• Enduring powers of attorney / receivership
Optional Criteria
1. Working knowledge and experience of:-
• Non contentious probate rules
• Claims against personal representatives
• Family Provisions Claims
• Equities
• Trust law and administration
• IHT, CGT and other personal tax planning
• Lifetime settlements
2. Society Memberships
• S.T.E.P.
• A.C.T.A.P.S
• Probate Section of Law Society
The successful applicants will join our Individual Group comprising 67 fee earners. There are great opportunities in this unit for development and promotion.
