JOB SPECIFICATION
1. A solicitor
2. Experience in a law firm that has a significant private client team
3. An individual who is a team player, client friendly, proactive, hard working and computer literate.
4. A participant in the firm’s private client business development activities
5. Accomplished level of knowledge in the majority of the following areas:-
• Will drafting and inheritance tax planning
• Estate administration
• Lasting powers of attorney
• Court of protection and Deputyship applications
• Issues affecting the elderly
• Trust law and administration
6. Particular specialisms which would be of interest include:
• IHT, CGT and other personal tax planning
• Lifetime settlements
• Trust law and administration including for disabled beneficiaries/personal injury compensation trusts
• Continuing care claims
7. Memberships of the following will be encouraged:
• STEP
• Probate Section of the Law Society
• Solicitors for the Elderly
The successful applicant will join our Private Client Group comprising 37 lawyers. There are great opportunities in this group for development and promotion.
