Dispute Resolution

Our aim is to avoid formal litigation where appropriate and we will work with you to take the uncertainty out of litigation to deliver a swift, successful and cost effective solution. We will guide you through your dispute with a team of lawyers selected for the specific requirements of your case – solicitors who work closely with other specialists within the firm to ensure strong, sound advice is given.

Litigating disputes through the courts is a useful and necessary tactic in the armoury of any business. Experience has shown, however, that in addition to issuing and defending proceedings in court, cost-effective solutions that satisfy your commercial goals are sometimes best achieved by other means.

Our dispute resolution team believe in hard negotiation in order to achieve the most favourable outcome for you.

We will:

  • help you to resolve your dispute as firmly, quickly and economically as possible;
  • help you to minimise uncertainties and risks;
  • if your case does go to court, ensure it is presented in the best possible light.

We will analyse your claim as thoroughly as possible and ensure that your opponent is made to understand the strengths of your case, whilst being candid with you if your claim has any weaknesses. We will advise you not only on your possible remedies through the court but also on alternative means of dispute resolution, including mediation.

Our team of experienced lawyers will fight your corner hard, but at the same time imaginatively seek opportunities for cost effective outcomes, and give you commercially realistic advice on your prospects of success that is compatible with your own commercial goals.
